Burning? What burning?
Just the other day I was thinking about the world-wide reaction to the whole Prophet Mohammad cartoon business, and it suddenly popped to my mind that Malaysia wasn't really in the picture. Just when I'm thinking it's a miracle the muslims here didn't do anything, I read
this.
Granted, it isn't as big a reaction as some of the violence we've seen. I don't think there's anything wrong in expressing disapproval at all, as long as it's done in a peaceful manner. What's puzzling (or rather *not* puzzling) is the fact that this isn't featured in the local media at all. Or at least in a prominent way. I mean, we're talking 3000 strong protesters here.
Was there a suppression (shudder) or it is simply time for me to pick up the bloody papers these few days?

i am the same, while i hear snippets of what is going on, i feel a bit like an ostrich with my head in the sand, only semi-aware of what is going on. maybe not the best way to go through life, but it's peaceful. i will make a solid effort to be better informed so that i can at least post something of substance here, rather than admissions of cluelessness.
hope all is well in your life, talk soon,
jane.
Actually, that's the thing. I have been reading the news, but I missed a couple of days in that period. Despite that, I should still here something. But I don't hear it being talked about around me. I don't hear it being discussed in the obviously omnipresent media here.
Btw, you've not posted in your blog for soooooo long! :)
You tracking me via a feedreader, or you actually drop by? :) :)
i can't get that feedreader thing to work on my blog. i need an uninterrupted afternoon to mess with it.
so no, i pop in,
so i have an updated post and i've been to tbf a few times and i love the banana kimono.
That's an incredible amount of net surf you're doing, jane... thanks for popping by, really appreciate it. I will try and update with more regularity.
Seems like I have so much in my mind, but not the time to actually do something about it...
